ABOUT EMMA

Emma Heatherington began writing songs in her early teens & performed them to anyone who would listen! Her creativity led her to a career in PR, until a short story competition in a magazine caught her eye.

With her aunt Kathleen's encouragement, Emma entered and won the competition which led to a book deal with Dodder Books (Crazy for You, 2007). This was followed by a further six novels with Poolbeg Press in Ireland.
In 2017, the international bestseller, The Legacy of Lucy Harte and a move to HarperCollins brought Emma's novels across the world, where they have been translated into many languages.

Her books have topped bestseller charts in many countries, and have been selected as book club reads by Fern Britton for Tesco UK.

Emma collaborated with Ireland's biggest country music stars, Philomena Begley and Nathan Carter respectively on their autobiographies, both of which were Irish Times bestsellers. Nathan's book was shortlisted for Non Fiction Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards.

Emma is now signed with Penguin Random House, and her latest novel 'This Christmas' is out in late 2024.
She lives in the picturesque village of Donaghmore, Co Tyrone with her children and a very cute toy poodle, Lola.
Emma is represented by Sarah Hornsley at Peters, Fraser and Dunlop Literary Agency, London, UK.

Aside from writing, she loves being by the sea, listening to live music and enjoys a nice glass of red wine. All at the same time if possible.
